Designed for the ultimate in relaxation and style, this easy-breezy coastal garden was the vision of Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture (NBLA) for a luxury beach house in Blairgowrie. Fields crafted the sublime front garden with plantings of Silver Birches, Westringia balls and Calamagrostis grasses. The hardscaping comprises a winding pathway of Dromana topping narrowing to a Blackbutt timber boardwalk and burnished concrete front steps. At the rear, a resort style pool wraps around the living zones, casting a delightful reflection on the interior. Timber and concrete materials flow through to the outdoor entertaining area, where a pergola and open fireplace adjoin the house. A hedge of Magnolia lines the far fence, and the surrounding garden beds deliver a striking mix of Agave, Sedum and ornamental grasses that sway gently in the breeze.
